A club that plays to win
Monsoon Active Badminton Club runs eight teams in the Coventry Badminton Association, from Premier Division down. Club night and every home fixture are at one venue in Coventry.
How it works
The league season runs through the winter. Teams are picked from whoever is playing well and available, and the men's, ladies' and mixed competitions run separately, so plenty of members play in more than one. Club night is where selection actually happens: play there, and the captains see you.
It is a members' club rather than a coaching service. Among the membership are several Level 2 qualified coaches and two active Warwickshire county coaches, but they are here to play. What that means in practice is hard games and advice from people who know what they are looking at. What it does not mean is a beginners' course.
Honours
The three cups above the net on the crest are these three titles.
In 2025/26 the club won all three Premier Division titles in the Coventry Badminton Association: men's, ladies' and mixed. Three Premier competitions, three trophies, one season.
- Men's Premier Division
- Ladies' Premier Division
- Mixed Premier Division
